Where to buy spare parts online

Hi All,

So I am now up to attempt 3 with my X5 and so far so good. ( this one is plated 03/07 but its the last of the E53, upgrade 4.4)

With any second hard car it comes with a few problems and one of the is a leaking hose for steering.

I used RealOEM to track down the part number, but now I'm having no luck in finding where I can source the part.

So where does everyone get their parts from ?? And I need to be able to get it shipped here to Oz.

the part number is 32416763983

Hello Bec,

Some of the sites i've used are: www.autohasaz.com www.ecstuning.com (both of these suppliers are great with very competitive low price)
There are a few folks when ur neck of the wood, perhaps they can tell you where they usually get their parts from. Good luck...

For my friends in Australia, the best place is:

PartsAgents in QLD

Audi, Mercedes, BMW and Volkswagen Car Parts Online | Parts Agent

Give Cliff a call and he sources everypart. Sometimes, he has them on his shelf.

Usually a 1/3 to 1/2 of the cost that BMW Australia charge.

He only sources OEM parts.

Regards,
Rob

Autohausaz.com is great. RMEuropean is another of my favorites. I like how both of them include the brand of replacement part. Especially for suspension and brakes, you can choose the grade....BMW, Lemfoerder, Meyle etc. Both have been very dependable with cheap shipping and RMEuropean has very inexpensive quick-ship options.

Thanks guys these sites are great.

Am I doing something wrong as I can't seem to find one of the parts at all.

I need
03 Return pipe 32416763983
04 Radiator return line 32416763978

Every site seems to have the second part but they call it the return pipe, but I cannot for the life of me find the first one.

Even doing a google search comes up empty handed.

Did you ring Cliff at PartsAgent as i suggested? He wont list it on the site, but give him the number and he can get the part.

Pretty simple, actually.

Hi Rob,

I have sent him off an email with both part numbers ( thought its a bit late to call him at the moment), so hopefully should hear back from him tomorrow..

But wanted to see if there are other places that may stock it for comparison

No probs, but I can guarantee you wont get an OEM part cheaper anywhere else in the world. He gets them direct from the manufacturer (whether Germany or USA) and passes on the savings.

For instance, I needed a transfer actuator recently. BMW Australia, $3200. If I sourced it from the US, $1800 landed.. From Cliff, same part, $980 landed and delivered.

If you want a comparison, ring your BMW Dealer and ask them to quote you for the part.

A quick search of the number, yielded this result http://bmwfans.info/parts/catalog/32416763983/

If you dont hear from Cliff within 24 hours, give him a call... Sometimes it takes him a while (up to a week) while he talks to the suppliers.

Regards,
Rob

I might just give him a buzz in the morning as I need to parts to pass rego as it seems that is what is leaking and making the car look like it has an oil leak.

Ok.. so, you have been knocked back for rego, so just in case?

Good idea on ringing him.. You can tell him Rob Brown told you to go to him.. He is a good guy, bends over backwards to get the parts.. I am waiting on a part at the moment, which has been a few weeks, but luckily it's a small part and the other hasnt failed.. Just a preventative maintenance thing.
