Anyone Interest In Trading 37k Mile 3.0 for 4.8is
 . I thought the visual mods could keep me away from the 4.8is but after being in one I'm sold. I'm working a lot closer to home now so I don't mind the losing gas mileage and some extra repair costs. I'm looking for a 4.8is with under 100k miles preferably black on black but not mandatory. I know its a long shot but i figure why not give it a shot. Car is currently dirty but pics will be up soon if there is some demand.

GL on your quest. How do you keep the mileage on your 3.0i that low?
FYI, 4.8iS manufacture year is 2004-2006.

Whoops typo there. I would definitely consider one but I'm going to try to find a 4.8is first. I had 3 BMW's for a few years a 2006 530i, 1999 323i, and the X5 that i distributed the miles between. I sold the 530 and the 323 recently. Other then summertime where most of my miles will be put on going to Poconos I barely drive any more. Work is 6 miles each way now and in winter time all I do is work. I used to work 35 miles each way.

If you like a lot of maintenance, then I would definitely go with the 4.8. However, if you like a cheaper vehicle to operate, you will like the 4.6 much more and there is little performance difference.

If you want an extremely nice car, you'd be crazy not to consider epdarks offer and look at his 4.6. One of the nicer examples that has been well maintained.

He definitely has one of the cleanest 4.6 I have seen. There is no doubt about that. I really want the face lift front. I know myself if I were to do it I would end up doing the face lift conversion. I almost pulled the trigger on it after seeing how nice the Topaz Blue looked with the face lift front. I'm hoping to save myself all that trouble.
