Imola red 2005 230000 km, what's worth?

I found another 4.8 e53 with all options at 11k in a very good shape. I think it's a good deal but what do you think?
I am not sure how many of you here got to that high km to know what can go wrong then but your opinion would help.
Mine is a 2000 4.4 with 238000 km and I changed pretty much everything. I wouldn't consider doing the chain guides on this one, it wasn't a fun job. The trasmission I hope will last longer. The drive line has been replaced on mine and I hope the x drive to last longer... but would it?
Thanks

I never look. I have to use fuel anyway. It looks like from 102-112 cents a liter.

An Imola 4.8 for 11k? Wow. Even with 140,000 miles, that is a steal. Either something is wrong with it, or you need to buy it.

Most of the higher mileage 4.8s seem to be listed in the 15k range, if not more.

Do your due diligence and if it checks out pull the trigger.

After I talked to the dealer, they changed the price to 13k. I have to check on Monday. They are close over the weekend. I have to see if they still sell it to me to the first price they advertised.

So, tomorrow I am going to see for how much I can get it. I need more opinions.
So, I know on the preface lift model after 200k km the chain guides fail, the TC chain, splines, vanos, transmission and so on... What would you guys expect from a 4.8is to fail or what have you replaced so far. I am not referring to suspension and what is common to preface lift models.

OK. It looks like it wasn't an easy sale and the car is still for sale.
The X seems to be in good mechanical conditions and it has no codes on the cluster as of today. The driver seat is very worn out. The outer leather piece needs to be replaced.

It has a record of an accident which was only the front right suspension. The guy hit a curb or something and damage it. I have the repair report from the dealer that did the repair and it's only 3k that includes air spring, shock, wheel carrier... The guy claimed it through the insurance and it shows in carfax. It doesn't seem to have any body damage other than ware and tare and deep scratch on the left doors that I got it estimate by a local shop for $1500 (pics on a different thread).

So, how much should I pay for it OR I should walk away?

I know as I did on mine already the suspension eventually will need to be replaced, the engine would need the intermediate levers done, tranny maybe...

Anyway, your thoughts would be appreciated.

I think it is a pretty good deal as is. I believe TTGTR paid around 14k for his 05 with 100k. You should be able to knock them down on the previous accident, and the side damage. Other than that, you know what you are looking at, so just give it a good check.

I am at 12k shipped right now. Unfortunately this X is 3000 km away from me.
They said that their body shop can fix the scratch for $800 but it's hard to claim the warranty so many mile away if the job is not well done.
