UGDO intermittent power......
Hello Guys,
I've been experiencing a strange issue since I picked up the X last week. Sometimes I try the garage door opener and it doesn't work.....As in no power it wont illuminate at all when the buttons are pushed. And then other times I press it and it works fine. It actually screwed me the other day. I ran up to the store and didn't bring my house keys with I just left the door inside the garage unlocked and closed the garage door with the x when pulling out. I come home 10 minutes later and hit the ugdo and nothing.....it won't open. I turned the car off and on and tried it again. I figured It lost the code and needed to be reset. I was about to go see my girl at work and grab a key when I tried it one last time.....It didn't work but that's when I noticed it wasn't lighting up at all.. as in no power to the unit. So I turned the car off, pulled the fuse in the glove box and it was fine but I swapped it anyways and tried it ....voila it worked. I'm in. So I assume the fuse was burnt and I just didn't see the crack in the fuse. NOPE.... it happened the very next day.... Sometimes it works and has power and other times nothing. But it never loses the code. Any ideas guys???? I'll pull the overhead trim next and check the connection to the udgo but I'm thinking it a pretty big long shot that connector worked its way loose and is only partial seated resulting in an intermittent connection. You guys ever heard of this before? I'm kind of worried to have an electrical gremlin after just buying the E53 TIA -Alex
