Question What does this module do???

It's taken from my 07' X3. I'm pretty sure this interfere with my GPS signal inside the car. Whenever I plug it in, the GPS signal drops to zero. Is it something that I can unplug for good? Oh, forgot to mention, no nav.

Appreciated!

Thanks mrbmwx5,

if that's the case, I assume unplugging it won't hurt anything.

I was referring to my TomTom GPS unit. Whenever I carry it into my car, the signal strength suddenly drop to zero! Now it's clear that the TCU module is interference with it. Unplug it solve it all.

Thanks for the help, guys!

Happy holiday!!!

What GPS signal are you referring to? Bluetooth is what is needed to make hands free phone calls in the car.
Unplug it and no more hands free calls using the onboard bluetooth. Perhaps the loss of some GPS that your
experiencing may be due to the device your using not bluetooth.
