Just changed battery, all of a sudden the 4x4 warning light in dash came up

Hi, all I just changed the battery of my 2006 X5. I followed a video procedure on youtube and all went smoothly. After I start the car, however, the 4x4 warning light on the dash came up. This has rarely came up before(I don't even remember when it was last on). I shut down the engine and restarted the car, the warning light is still on. It's the 4x4 with a circle around it, at the middle of the dash. Could there be something that I touched inadvertently that cause this problem? Before I changed the battery it was off. Thanks!

BW, are you having any trouble with central locking/remote and interior lighting after you replaced the battery?

I haven't tried that yet. Will try when I get back home. The battery I put in was a walmart H8(went for the cheap because this is an old car). Had to use the glue gun to seal the vent hole on the battery next to the negative terminal so that all gas are vented through the positive side vent and through that tiny tube to the outside.

babyduke, I tested and didn't find any problem with the central locking and interior lighting. They all work fine.
