A5S390R transmission fluid change

Hi,
I was looking to know if anyone here had experience with using Pentosin ATF1 as the transmission fluid for their A5S390R. On my other A5S390R trannies I used to use the FUCHS Titan 6000 SL but is hard to find this anymore in my local parts stores. They are both fully synthetic but I am not sure about the first one as being fully compatible with this tranny.

Thanks,
Alin

You have to read the reccomendation on the tag on the tranny. It varies.

The transmission stiker shows this part# 83220024359. This is superceeded by 83220397114 per BMW records. The last one shows as being DEXRON VI ATF

Then you can use any certified Dexron VI.

And if you want to take a chance, you can use any non-certified fluid that claims compatibility, but which hasn't been tested to the Dexron standard.

just changed mine, I got the fluid (83220397114) from my local BMW dealer for $45 per 4L.
