Why so? Is painting PDC sensors usually a no no? I didn't even ask them to do it, when I picked up the car they just said "We've painted your PDC sensors too, looks much better than having black bits stuck out of your painted bumper."

I never even gave it any thought that it may cause problems.

Fact is,paint on the PDC inner circle can cause it to malfunction!

Thanks for the pics AndyP. Did you paint the body molding as well? Couldn't tell exactly, although I'm thinking you didn't.

I'll have to look at the bottom of my rear bumper b/c I'm not sure mine has the same molding. I take it that your special edition 3.0D is either MY 05 or 06, so that probably the difference.

To get a completely even and matched covering they paint the whole bumper, not just the black bits.

Our X is MY05. I think. We bought it brand new in November 05. So I'm guessing it's an 05.
