Rear tyres are pretty much brand new, front I'd say have about 50% tread left (worn on the inside moreso than the outside of the tyre) |

Ok, you need to check all the front suspension components. I don't want to tell you how to suck eggs (I don't know your DIY abilities) but you'll have to jack the front end up, stick it on axle stands, take both wheels off and check all the bushes and balljoints for play. Check the wheel bearings for play just before you take the wheels off. If there is ANY amount of play in anything, replace that part (as a pair L and R).
If you need to replace anything you won't need to get BMW parts, just a decent OEM sale brand is good enough. Lemforder is generally recognised as a good brand associated with suspension parts on this truck.
