Kidney Grill and Hood Vent Swap Question

I thought this would have been covered here but must not have been able to hit the right query.

Will the 4.8is kidney grills and hood vents be a direct fit with the 4.6is? I presume they would but want to make sure. Wonder if they would look better on lighter color car.

And if they would look ok what are the part number for the hood vents? I have the kidney part numbers

They will as long as they are matching body styles. Either pre-facelift or facelifted.

Ricky Bobby will become famous soon enough
The hood vents and kidney grilles on pre- and post- facelift cars are totally different shapes and part numbers.

They are NOT interchangeable

Thanks RB. So heres why I ask if i look at ECS for 4.8 vs 4.6 they list the same part number for the black hood vents but only show the Titanium version available for the 4.8. The Titan ones look so much better there and had friend shoot me the pics of his 4.8 and they do appear to be a different shape.

EDIT: I searched differently in ECS (hood vs grille menu) on the 4.8is and they did note in red that the kidney grille is ONLY for 10/2003 and beyond but no such disclaimer on hood grille. Weird and they dont list the black piece as an option in that search.

RB is right.they don't fit .4.6is is available only in pre-facelift
The hood, fenders are a different shape on the 4.8
Having said that, somebody actually fitted facelifted grills on a pre facelift but he had to cut the hood.It looked pretty good..do a search as I am too lazy to look for it at the moment...it's Sunday...

Thanks all. Ive put the keyboard down as my idea will not work and I certainly do not want to modify anything in any fashion to make things work.

You can get pre-facelift fitment kidney grilles that have Titan Silver slats (I have them)

And just a thought but if you wanted you could probably get the hood vents painted Titan Silver to match if wanted.

You have a 4.6 and the kidney grill slats are not silver?

I believe he is discussing the hood vents, as his vents are black in color and the 4.8is have Titan colored ones with strong rib vents. Totally different look and contrast on the lighter blue color called Estoril Blue Metallic.
