Installed LED Angel Eyes rings today, is it really worth it ?? Don't think so..

Installed LED lights for the rings today. Purchased the most brightest and powerful I can find (25W)
But by looking at it i think it's just waste of a $100, will get my old bulbs installed back.

Because in US the yellow marker is so bright and the whole set up is so much different you can't really see the rings in night and if i use the daytime running lights they way the lights set up here they won't light up.

So it would look good in European specs car not US.

Don't you think you better of keeping the stock bulbs and spend $100 somewhere else ?

so turn off your sidemarkers. You need a few things to do it, but its not hard at all. I've got mine off, nice LED lights in the rings and it looks great.

aferist, nice lic plate... hahaha...

search through some of recent posts on the programming of the corner lights off... they make no sense - when the lights are on at night, you have the main headlights on, so who cares about the corner lights, when the lights are off, the corner lights are off too...
if you don't find it somehow, let me know, i will post the codes...

do you have the programming stuff?

spend $40-50 on ebay, buy the cable and the software off that romanian guy that supplied half of the world with his stuff - and before programming, read, read, read... and then just program away... make the windows roll up with keyfob, keep rolling when the doors are ajar, get the highbeams on with the fogs, etc, etc, etc...

I know the side markers may seem redundant at night if the headlamps are on, and many turn them off because of how they "look" but they do serve a purpose. Driving around without front side markers can yield you a ticket (depending on your area of course). The angel eyes and projectors don't throw enough light sideways. Just a friendly FYI

An alternative would be to swap to a set of led bulbs. It'll give you a light less intense at night, but still clearly visible by day and most importantly keep ya legal. IMO it looks like you're missing something without the side markers on at night.

Ok I'm done nitpicking now!

i am sure the legality of the front yellow and back red had its roots in something more tangible than someone just liking or not liking it...

I have more beef with the red rear turn signals in the US - used to be only US manufacturers did that and the foreign ones stuck to the yellow ones, and with yellow it is clear, when you are turning left or right... with the US pickup trucks, or even regular cars, if a guy is turning left, with the left RED blinker on, and hits and releases the brakes, then you get the blinking lights on the left and on the right... go figure, which way he is going...

lol... my rant!!!

Yup, it's all laid out in the FMVSS docs!
