ps because of this, i triggered them with the fog lights, so i can shut it off to use the front PDC. I will be looking at the WDS and finding a better place to tap (I was in a hurry and didn't want to mess around any more yesterday)....

Drex sent you a PM re: a better place to tap. You can have the DDEs go on with your park lights if you want.....

Here is a potential wire you can tap into to have your DDEs go on with your park lights.....DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK!!! Be sure to test the wire before tapping into it....the color of the wire may vary from year to year.

The light control module is in the passenger footwell.....This wire controls the rear taillights that go on with the parking lights. Like OEM, the angel eyes will go on with the park lights.

This is very odd, I wonder what the interference comes from. I have actually never heard of any cars with PDC issues and CCFL demon eyes.

called matt yesterday to see what he thought and he said he never had the problem.

im interested to find out cause i did an installation a week back and the guys having this problem..... very odd since the other 4 X5s i did didn't have this problem.

its possible for the ballast to cause a problem maybe its like a cordless phone/microwave/wireless router those 3 devices near eachother mess things up.

but if its the ballast why would it NOT cause a problem with NON Xs that have PDC??

Tried New ground points as per Nick at JLevi

As per Nick at JLevi, he asked me/installer to find a different tap point for the ground. Unfortunately it did not work, we tried like 5 or 6 points to connect the ground but it still did not work. I even disconnected the remote wire, it still did not work. I'm not sure what is going wrong here.

its the ballast interfering with the PDC's electromagnetic field.

i haven't had time to play with this but will do this weekend, and report back.

not a great big problem, but annoying nonetheless!
