gummiflege? It's a substitute for vaseline. It's especially useful if you ever get locked in the same room as michael jackson or Dr Kewl.

Agree with MD on the 303 product. I don't have a lot of experience with it, but I have heard positive reviews. This is their link: http://www.303products.com/techinfo/tires1.htm Here is a similar explanation, with a qualifier about what types of silicone are not harmful: http://www.autoint.com/tsb/ford_leather.html This is a quote from a Michelin publication: If you use a dressing product to “protect” your tires from aging, use extra care and caution. Tire dressings that contain petroleum products, alcohol or silicones may cause deterioration or cracking and accelerate the aging process. In many cases, it is not the dressing itself that can be a problem, but rather the chemical reaction that the product can have with the antioxidant in the tire. Heat can add to the negative reaction. My experience with tire warranty issues comes from having sold tires through a family-owned automotive repair shop. We dealt with all tire brands. It was years ago, but I don't think the technology has changed. Silicone was considered a bad thing, good for used car lots to dress up trade-ins, but detrimental to rubber in contact with sunlight. I don't think occasional use is a big problem, but I wouldn't recommend regular applications, and I wouldn't promote it. If it is a specific product that has UV stabilizers, then fine.
