100,000 MILE SERVICE

when the X5 gets old and lives to be almost 100k and you want to throw it a birthday party by following the service requested on replacing parts and fluids..
what would you recommend. Since my motor we half apart might as well do the 100k to make it run another 100k.
Already replaced the intake boot.
so far on my list I have....

CCV replacement.
Oil filter housing.
water pump
serpentine belt
pulleys.

anything else...?

Edit- add
thermostat
oil separator
front and rear differential oil
front and rear differential seal

add-
Transmission oil and filter
Idle pulley
Power steering oil and filter ( inside reservoir )

check Potential Issues:
Suspension bushings/ball joints
Wheel bearings
Carrier Bearing

the question is, what has been replaced in the last 100k?

You cant go wrong with anything/everything rubber...

trans oil is said to be lifetime and some people say it causes more damage than good.

I would do that maybe after 100k service.
And the power steering oil? Isnt it ATF? and where is the filter? wouldnt it be in the oil fan of the trans?

To answer your question.... well its hard to tell because I dont have service records. the dealer who serviced it before will not disclose that info

ugh thats so annoying, try calling in as the previous owner...

I hate replacing things that arent worn out, its not going to hurt to replace anything, but if its not broke/doesnt show symptoms i say leave it.

Potential Issues:
Suspension bushings/ball joints
Wheel bearings
Carrier Bearing

Any oil leaks? Power steering is pretty common...

Vaccume lines...

I mean the list could be huge. but how much money are you going to throw at something thats not broken?

I am just like that. Dont mess with it unless it's broken.
and oil filter housing gasket is bad and causes a bad leak.
the steering and suspension seem to be good. I will look into checking the bushings. I most likely replacing the complete breather system. so all the lines and oil separator. takes care of replacing vacuum lines. and I replaced the intake boot and cleaned the throttle body and pcv.

Filter is in the reservoir. Once you buy the new PS reservoir, the filter is within. And yes to the ATF oil on it.
