Rear LCA Bushings
How good or bad was the process. I eyeballed it around Thanksgiving. Too cold to go crawling around now. For those that have done it, how long did it take you.. |

Is it safe to assume you mean the bushings of part number 15 below? The other If so, I do believe they are sold as part of the arm (you have to buy the whole piece).

Here's a thread on that subject: http://www.xoutpost.com/bmw-sav-foru...bone-bush.html
He details what it took to replace them on page 5 of the thread. I would think that how long it takes depends a lot on what you have for equipment and experience.

Bushings can be found ! I ovehauled my fronts.
Plan to the rear before my post winter alignment. I did up upper control arms awhile back and that did alot to keep the last 2 alignments in spec (I get alignments yearly). So on my list the lower bushes in #15, lower balljoint and both the guiding and intergral link. Too cold to look at the bags, but I think I still have some life out of them. Rear Shocks are getting swapped as well. Noticed a lil oil during winter tar swap |

there is a good video on You Tube, VAC motorsport e53 rear tire wear, they show how to diagnose the problem correctly.
I am replacing my rear ball joints and bushing [ the wish bone is one piece from BMW] check it out. |

I got around to checking out my *rear end* today.
At 101K, a slight oil leak on one shock, which I noticed during Winter Tire Swap. Uppers were done awhile back. Surprisingly, rear BJ and lower bushes seems good. I've yet to check the subframe. |
