thrust bushings replaced with HD Meyle align afterwards?

Hello all, clarifying title it was the front thrust rod bushings, got this done at the bmw dealer and the technician responsible told me to go get an alignment afterwards, yet most posts i read state that if alignment was fine before the change then you would not need an alignment done after just replacing split bushings with heavy duty meyle ones (solid inside)....not really sure what the facts are

the bushings could have different shapes and also so be sitting a wee bit differently than the last ones
i would get alignment done,
it could be/most likely is only off by a little bit

Gurjit thanks, to be frank i reckon it is overdue cos had the outer cv boot changed up front and am sure the mechanic undid alot of the components surrounding the cv joint to get to it, so will get one done
