4.8is 0-60 and 1/4 mile run ...

w/ passport GT2: Only mods are AFE intake and H&R 30mm rear spacers.

0-60 6.5 sec
1/4 mile 15.0 sec

S mode w/half tank of gas. Seems a little slow don't you guys think?

Just a note, my friend's '07 G35 ran 0-60 6.1 sec and 1/4 mile 14.7 sec.

Yeah, a bit on the slow side for a 4.8is...Official E53 4.8is numbers from BMW are 0-60 in 5.9 secs. Even if you allow variation for head-wind, road conditions, tires, etc, should not have stretched out to 6.5.

Hey, maybe they sold ya a 4.4 with 4.8 side markers

I'd have to dig for timeslips, pre-Dinan mods...with just an intake and 1/4 tank gas, removed spare tire, i believe i clocked 0-60 @ 6.3 in manual mode with 4.6iS.

May just be your setup...but you should've also had less than 1/2 tank of gas. 4.8iS should be posting sub 6's. Do you have a tow-hitch?

Some additional info about my X5:

22000 miles on the clock with factory rims and tires(rears balding in the middle), loaded with every option including rear airbags and sliding load floor. No tow-hitch. I didn't remove anything before the run. It was after midnight and the temp was around 75F.

How is your daily commute/drive pattern? Do you enjoy and let your X loose...

Your X may need some resetting Turn the key to second position. Step on the gas pedal to the click point for 30 seconds. Let go off the gas pedal, start the engine and go. Try the 0-60 again.

Don't the 20" wheels stick out with 30 mm spacers?

I let it loose occasionally. I drive it to work for 25 mins everyday. 1/2 city. 1/2 hway. I'll try the resetting. Click point meaning flooring it all the way right? Wheels are flush with the fender flares.

I'm confused, why are we comparing the X5 to a G35 coupe?
