Even in 20", the X5 dwarfs the mesh style wheels with large lips.

I'm sure spacers would help, but I think a 21" mesh wheel would be perfect. Even the 22" don't look that big, due to the wheel design.

That's a good point. The X5 isn't a very big vehicle. It just has large wheel arches. Ill have to look around and see what's available that size in a mesh or tuning fork wheel. I do like the stock X5 20's in both styles quite a bit too. I think that anything with a concave look would be nice.

Yeah, most 2/3-piece wheels need to be 21 or 22" to look like a 20" monoblok wheel on SUVs in my opinion.

Bang on! Because the face doesn't extend to the edge of the wheel (it sits inside the barrel) it appears smaller. That's why a 22" multi piece on an X isn't overwhelming, where as a 22" version of the same 300m wheels I have look goofy big.
