I had a good experience with an aftermarket rear carier about 4 years ago. The fitment was basically spot on, however it wasn't the cheapest of aftermarket parts (I've seen them for around $30 USD).

Good to hear, amazing how something so simple (style of screw), makes such a difference.

When I am fixing my car, I want to spend as little as time possible doing the job, and not have to do it over again.

There are many times I waiver on aftermarket vs. genuine, but I've been screwed too many times with aftermarket.

My passenger door handle quit working from the outside. I replaced it with a Febi unit from Pelican. I removed a Uro unit that the PO had an independent euro garage install. The cable had stretched after 2 years. Junk. The Febi unit seemed OK. Poor finish and had to file a spot, but it's inside and you dont see it. I would but it again.

I just bought one for $220 canadian dollars taxes in after the one Trucktec branded from FCP Euro kept on popping up from the door lock lever ball.
The carrier itself was replaced by a mechanic when he was assembling all the trim etc after the paint job.Well,he said it took him about two hours to figure out the way to fit it and then the cable popping started...a disaster.
While the FEBi branded one was no problem and works as it should.

So FEBI is the cheapest I would go with the parts. This far all their parts performed well for me.
