Um, I screwed up a setting
I was trying to set ride height and used the factory option and the 20" wheel setting, but the NT-510 said adjustment not needed. Afterward the X was sitting so low that it almost scrapes the road reflector pucks while bouncing like a lead-sled and my height adjustment rocker switch is blacked out. Running through the tests all valves, pumps and switches show everything as functional. Ideas? Thoughts? I must un-f this as I'm not sure if I'll survive driving a very short, pregnant, pissed off woman to the doctors appointment again.. I'm hoping this isn't my last statement to the world as I wanted it to be... I used INPA but it has no default setting. I ended up paying my local Indi to set it up for me on his computer (which has a factory default). This was after I spent hours trying to level it using the INPA quoted levels.
It sounds like you are so low you are running in the bump stops? That being the case you may get tire rubbing issues as well as wear issues.

Update.
I still am not sure how I got it into transport mode AND wiped out the ride height. I still can't get it to delete transport mode, so I'm disconnecting the battery and putting the + and - together for a bit and I'll add the battery back in and start coding there. Update again...

Search completed.
I got parts off a smeared X and now the OBD2 is back to life. Rear suspension is now down do to this resistor (so far) and of the 3 I've found from wrecks all were toasted. I am hopeful that the stealer has one in stock. Nickles and dimes is about all I've left after what seems like two weeks of shop time and professional scanning time/help. Wife is now more P.O.'d than ever... If I disappear, I swear that I did NOT fall down the stairs while holding a chainsaw!! Wish me luck on my X5 Zamboni repairs.... Well I am still not sure how the resistor for transfer case can cause a cascade type failure that locked down my ride height...

Because of varying manufacturing tolerances in the transfercase when they are manufactured, a resistor equaling these locking torque characteristics is mounted to the transfercase.
