x5 e53 1st day of ownership

Hi folk new to the form had a good look around it today.
To start im from ireland not sure uf there any other members on here?
My x5 is a 3.0d 2001 plate and it has been in my family since new it gas spent the last year in a shed so I said id revive it...
It has a few problems which I am I currently trying to resolve
1. Broken door handle i have that sorted with a new carrier
2. repkaced battery as it was totally flat
3. All oil and filters purchased for a major service
4. Its cranking but its not firing and I am at a loss at this as I am not a mechanic but have looked at the fuel line and no fuel seems to be coming to engine...

If anyone has any suggestions I will be glad to listen as I want to get this x5 back on the road as it was wasting away in a shed and that is a shame for such a beautiful machine.

Looking forward to naking some great friend on here

Check the fuel pump. I'll see if I can dig up another thread that might help how to check it. There's probably a way to check if the pump is working or maybe the pump is not getting power?

Like disconnect the fuel line and see if the pump is actually moving any fuel. I can't remember off the top of my head. I'll do some searches.

Here's one with fuel related checks. It should help you get started. I'll look for some more. Iknow yours is a 3d but maybe there's something in there similar you can check.

If your going to do a lot of DIY I would get at least the Bentley manual and something like a GT1.

You mentioned the X is not getting fuel. How did you determine that?
