Had the X checked out needs a few items

So i decided to have the X looked over as i jsut havent had time to get a good look at it and I need a few maintence items which im gonna do probably next week as i think i free day. Any one reccommend me a the cheapest place for parts online or should i go to my local who gives me real great deals. also any suggestions and DIY will be helpful oh and correct part numbers on the items

this is what the shop qouted me but i will be doing all these myself

oil filter housing seal 6.38
vanos line 12/97 65.03
vanos line seal .70
total job = 389.21
This job i have read a few things seems a lil more involved but nothing im sure i can't handle. Is there anythign else i should while im in that area and there is no need for any special tools is there)

valve cover gaskets need replacing 46.80 ( seems easy enough take apart put back together
valve seal washer .98 x 15

item 3
replace power steering suction hose 34.68 ( again no worries on this job)

item 4
flush the brake system ( no worries here straight foward)
