I have a 2002 X5 3.0. I was trying to find answer everywhere, but can't find it anywhere.
My car lock was broken on the driver side door. And I think it is the inner lock problem. I want to check it out myself first before sending it to dealer, can anyone tell me the step to from taking off the panel to how to fix the lock with pictures? Please and thank you! Welcome...and you may want to really consider creating a permanent signature (click the USER CP link at top of page) or add your corrected model/model year/build date info where it appears in the upper right. It will help us to help you better when making inquiries to the forum.
As it stands...we can interpret what you wrote as either the 3.0 or 4.4 e53 X5...you obviously made a typo...but that typo could push your vehicle description into either camp...which could give you completely different answers to certain questions.

Sorry about that it's actually a 3.0 X5, I think it's E53 right?
