Hi,

I've been searching the forum and the net in general to find out if pre fl lights can be baked open, now I am finding ambiguity as some say you can but only upto 2002 and everything after including pre fl 2003 lights cannot.

Does anyone have any experience of this? I'm looking to bake open 2003 xenons to fit ae.

yes cut open or take hours with careful prying.

if you get them open please post up pics and your methods, would be very helpful to other members here including myself who are considering undertaking this task!

Some other guys have already documented opening up the facelift housings 04-06 which also use the permaseal as its called, but i haven't seen any documentation on anyone successfully opening the pre-facelift 2003 headlights.

Hella switched adhesives in late 2002 I think 10/2002 is the cutoff for the headlights that are able to be baked open...
