Plasti Dip Wheels

I am planning to Ptasti Dip my 168 wheels wit their new Pearlizer to get that anthricate/gunmetal look. I was just wondering how many cans of the satin black and pearlizer I would need to get all four wheels done.

i used 2 cans, the second one is still half full... just plain black dip - not the fancy way you are planning...

Thank you for the response. I feel that the Pearlizer on satin black on the wheels will set off my Imola Red nicely.

how do you guys get the edge to stay down?

I used index cards to block the tire. Some spots on the edge of the rim, i think more so where there is rash, it is starting to lift. Once it starts it wants to take the whole thing with it.

130mph runs don't help.

I touch it up and it sits back down but havent found a permanent solution...

How about the Glosser? Has anyone tried that? I already have matte black rims, but want a gloss added to it. IDK about the glosser yet.

I will not be doing for the wheels til it gets a little warmer outside. I can't wait to see how the color will contrast with my Imola Red beast.

Chris,
I am not a big fan of the Glossifer. You have a good start with the black base coat already. I think that the Pealizer will make your white X looks really nice.
