I think I got the pics figured.

I did my brakes today... Slotted and drilled! Plus my new rims and tires. They were sitting in my back room for a couple of weeks.

Thanks! I hope they keep the sheen/luster/shine they have now. The pics don't really do them justice.

Glad I went staggered too. I don't think I need spacers at all. Of course, once I look at it for a week or so, I'll change my mind.

Did you paint the calipers as well? (bit hard to tell...they look gloss black?)

Regardless, Still Looks good!

Yeah, a quick coat of black on the calipers, since you can see 'em. The rims came wide. 10.5's in the back with a decent offset. They're pretty flush. Fronts.... well, we will see.

So I ordered them (rims and tires, mounted and balanced) from a shop back East. All good, showed up quick. But in a couple of the boxes, there were wheel weights loose.

Concerned, I had them checked and re-balanced at a local tire chain ($55, by the way)...... Huge mistake! One was out quite a lot. My wife brought them to me at the shop, and the tire guy had stuck 6! (SIX) frickin ounces of sticky weights right between the spokes of the drivers rear wheel...... I think they could be seen from space..

I get the brakes done, calipers painted.... etc.. etc. Go back to the tire chain to see who's the idiot that stuck so much weight in a visible spot on my new set.... AND THEY WANT TO CHARGE ME AGAIN TO FIX IT...... I lost it...

Long rant short, they make me wait an hour... pull it in, 20 minutes later pull it out with the weights "split" behind one of the spokes.... except now they are THREE deep! Meaning stacked! 3 Tall!

I had asked them to dismount the tire and turn it on the rim, but nope. Just an abortion of a re-balance job.... Jeez. Common sense isn't so common anymore.

Again.. sorry for the rant. I want to ask those d-bags:

"If you just spent (x-amount) on a new set of nice brakes, and rims and tires, for a BMW. And then some kid f's 'em up like this, what would YOU do?"
