Search for a thread by user "King"...he did a write up in pdf form with everything you need to know, including parts needed (and part numbers).

I looked at that, what i need is a part number for a 3 way harness that conects the slip ring to the switches and the wheel

It doesn't quite work that way.. Check the full instructions at http://www.bmwmotorsports.org/pdf/e5...20retrofit.pdf

The author refers to the 'switch' when it's really a slipring - the part that allows the electrical connections on the steering wheel to move without twisting cables. The turning part has 3 female connectors; heater, airbag, and ibus+light. The new wheel has a 2-pin connector for heating, the airbag connects to airbag as before, and the new buttons connect to the ibus+light in place of the old buttons.

The switches conector is too short, the heated wheel conectors are too short, all the pictures i looked at has a longer wire harness with a red 2 pin conector

These are all the wires at the wheel assembly

The white one from the thumb switches is exactly the same as the non heated in addition to the 3 pin

I'm not sure I follow but here's what I can gather from your pics....

If your slipring does not have the pins inside the connector socket on the face side (the one that faces toward you) then you need to order the correct slipring----the one for heated wheels.

Can you clarify what you mean by the connectors are too short? The connectors from the wheel plug into the face side of your slipring---not the back.

Lastly, in your 3rd picture, what is that that looks like melted wires in the center of the screen.

All the part numbers of everything you need to do this is listed in that walk through.....compare those with the numbers on your pieces and you'll soon find out if you have the right parts.
