what engine related parts need to be replace when a new motor is put in

Is there any way I could get a BMW service document that describes the parts that should be replaced at the time of engine replacement. As some of you know, BMW put a new engine in my x5 under warranty. Now I have squeaking noise on cold start. I took it back but the "foreman" who replaced the motor couldn't hear it! So I had to go there and point it out to him. He thinks it is the belt or one of the pulleys. Should they have replaced these parts? A friend told me that these parts are routinely repalced when a new motor is put in.

WOuld be great if I had access to official BMW document.
