where can i find a good deal on 20" Staggered rims
I drive a 2005 x5 4.4 with 1000 miles on motor and 80k on the rest. I have been thinking upgrading to 20" rims. I did some research on this forum and decided to go with 20' staggered rims in black. I, however, dont want to pay the showroom price. I have been looking at craigslist and have found some good options. I contacted a couple with "would these fit my x5"...answer was " yes but check with the dealer".
i know my bolt pattern is 5 x120. What else do I need to know when i look at rims that came off non-bmw cars or non-x5 bmw models. Thanks in anticipation kashmir |

Take note of:
You can get an idea of the approx wheel offset range by pulling up the X5 wheels on realoem.com. The parts database lists the wheel offset in the supplemental column in the part number index. Take note of the wheel offset of BMW wheels that have the same width as any after market wheels you're considering. Hint: the X5 is similar to the 5 series in that BMW threw a monkey wrench into wheel swapping. All 5 series before & after the e39 have a 72.56mm hub while the e39 has a 74.1mm hub. The e70 X5 has the larger 74.1mm hub while the e53 X5 has the smaller 72.56mm hub. And now with the explosion of AWD BMW cars...many of those models have wheels with a HIGH wheel offset vs a low offset on the RWD (rear wheel drive) models. And lastly, the X6...has an odd SPLIT axle hub size difference. One axle has a 72.56mm hub while the other has a 74.1mm hub...I always forget which one is which.

I suggest you get the whole wheels so you can put them on the X. Now memorize the note that QSilver7 gives you above.
Here is style87 info so you can find wheels that are as close to it as possible: Front: 20x9.5 ET45 (<--offset) Rear: 20x10.5 ET30
