Whistling fan while braking

My car developed a very annoying (to the point where it hurts my ears) high pitch whistling sound. And it only appears when i am applying breaks... i thought it was due to sand in the breaks, maybe some sort of bearing falling apart... however i found that the whistling stops as soon as i turn off the fan inside the car! Can someone explain to me how this could be possible?
I have tried reproducing the sound with the fan off and had no success, as soon as i turn it on, however and apply breaks - i can hear it...

so after a few more testing and some research, looks like it is indeed the heater motor. The reason it squeels when I brake is probably from the -g's throwing the motor off ballance due to the worn out bushings. I guess i will try sparying some lubricant on/inside the motor it self and see if helps, but i think i will have to replace the motor soon anyways...

You can't lube the motor. It's a nasty replacement. Whole dash comes out.

yeah i've heard its no fun to get to the motor... i was hoping i could just clean the motor once i get to it, rather than replace it...i heard this works on e46, so i was hoping to do the same on my car...i guess i will be buying a new motor

Sure you could, but why bother. The blower is not that expensive. It's the getting into it that's the problem.
