Hub centric ring size?

Can anyone tell me the size rings I need for my 2001 X5 3.0 to use wheels that fit 2007-2012. thanks.

The e70 X5 is like the e39 5 series and has a 74.1mm wheel hub (as does the front axle (only) of the X6...the X6's rear axle has a 72.56mm hub). The e53 has a 72.56mm wheel hub. Some vendors round-up or round-down the number...so you may see 72.6mm & 74mm

So you need to use a hub centric ring that will reduce a 74.1mm e70 wheel's hub to fit your 72.56mm hub

I just went through this and it was a hell of a time.

With my experience, I had 2007 E70 19" 255 size tyres on all corners and used 74.1 to 72.6 and I had a lot of vibration, pretty much the same as if there were no rings.

I got 74.1 to 72.56 and all vibration gone.

Yes, .4mm shouldn't make that much difference, but it did in my case.

So, to be on the safe side, get the proper sized rings.

Metal is better as it can stand up to the punishment, but others haven't had the problem with the plastic ones.

Just my few cents worth.

Regards,
Rob
