Radio/NAV On Board Monitor knob/buttons do not work

Guys,

I need help here. I have searched the Forum to see if anybody had this problem before and I found one thread, but the guy never updated it. My problem started about two hours ago on my way home from work. I started the car and I try to change radio station, but nothing happened. I pressed the rest of buttons, but the only one that worked was the right side knob on the monitor. I can control the zoom on the map and I can press the phone button and it will send the signal to my phone. My NAV and radio work and I can control the radio from the steering wheel, but that's about it. I have tried to reset the vehicle by disconnecting the battery, but still the same. I checked all the fuses and they are all good. I don't know what else to do other than to take the Nav monitor apart and see if the cables inside are somehow lose. I wanted to see if anybody had the same issue and how they fixed it before I take that step. I have done it before and prefer not to do it again.

Thanks for your help.

Army, let s see if the we understand the issue here...

the right button works
the up/down change station on steering wheel works
volume on steering wheel works

the left button on monitor is not working
the 1-6 buttons do not work
FM/AM does not work
menu does not work
tone/select does not work
<> do not work

is that the situation?

That is correct. I found this threat:

I believe that this is what is wrong with my NAV System. I will take it apart tomorrow and see.

those functions in the monitor are changed via iBus, so the controls from the steering wheel are working fine... it could be something mechanical inside the monitor... i should say, electro-mechanical... i know about screen replacement, not so sure about the knob replacement...

Yes,

I took My NAV apart one time because the monitor colors were malfunctioning. The face of the monitor can be separated and replace, but I don't know how easy it will be to get a replacement. I am looking on eBay right now to see if I find one. Thanks for caring.

Yes,

I resolved that color problem that was part of my Digital TV installation. I also had a problem with my on board monitor's colors. It was only showing light blue and light red colors. I opened the Nav Unit, disconnected all the cables, cleaned it out, connected everything back up and had no problem since then.
