Final stage resistor/blower

Hey everyone! Quick ?!! Have to replace the FSR!! Do u recommend getting an OE part?? Or can I go generic on this?? Just curious, and what is the average price for this part so I know I'm not getting ripped off?? Thanks in advance!

OEM Many have fitted the aftermarket units only to have them fail within a few weeks or months.

I've had to replace mine twice. The first I did with an OEM and it failed a few years later. The second time I did with an eBay aftermarket unit and it has lasted over 4 years. Your mileage may vary.

Well is your choice .. OE part cost $$$ and last few years or ebay part $ and last five years like mine ...

Thank you all for the feedback... I'm thinking of going with the eBay aftermarket product bc def costs less!! Any preferences on an aftermarket brand that I can purchase on eBay?? I have seen some as cheap as $20!! But I feel that's way to cheap!! What price point do you all think I should b around for a decent aftermarket part?? Thanks again!

Look at some of the posts about FSR failures. Keep the old one and see if you ca unpot it and fix it so you have a spare for next time.

Bought my X with a bad FSR. Bought the non-OEM FSR off e-bay with a 1 yr warranty, failed in 6mos, seller swapped for a new FSR, that one lasted 2mos. Got tired of repeat labor and went OEM from Ferman BMW and that one has lasted over 2.5yrs now. The non-OEM e-bay FSRs fail!
