LED angel lights rings

I was going to upgrade my CCFL angel lights I have installed on my OEM headlights with these LED rings:
USA UHP LED Angel Eye Halo Ring Kit Depo 00 03 BMW E53 P53 Projector Headlight | eBay

... but Simon (fishcake) says that they will not fit original BME HID lights, only DEPO light will work with these. Any idea why? Is it a different diameter in Depo than OEM?

That seller says to contact them if you want rings for stock headlights.

I'm not sure the differences.

For stock headlights I would get these:

4 x BMW 2000 2003 x5 E53 SMD LED Angel Eyes Halo Rings Super Bright Kit White | eBay

They come with the relay harness, and all the rings are made in China anyway so its not like you're dealing with a quality issue.

The ones Simon sells you're right are only made for the Depo headlights, they must have different mounting system or slightly different diameters. All these LED rings are bought from China and resold anyway at ridiculous prices (last I checked LED rings from Bimmian were Weisslicht brand and sold for almost 200 bucks, same with Umnitza brand) so I would just pay 55 bucks and buy from the source.

Thanks Ricky. Did you buy this or ended up buying depo headlights?
I am still looking at the depo headlights with the LED signal lights... but too much money.
I might end up getting the rings you suggested although the lents are not as new not matter how I good polish them.

Mugur, tomorrow morning when you come over, please get the AE lights too, maybe I can fix the one that's out.

I refuse to buy the Depo's because of their ridiculous price at 600 dollars, even though mine are the permasealed housings I could get the rings I posted above, as well as brand new, superior quality Bi-Xenon EvoX-R projectors and new 4300k bulbs for half the price of the Depo units!

Sounds like polishing is not enough for you to get clarity in your lenses, perhaps you need to do the 3m restoration kit and do a thorough wet sanding process on them!

Once you start polishing the lenses , it's game over. They will cloud again in time.
Here is what you have to do: The 3M kit is one of the best on the market. Restore the lenses (lots of elbow grease) until they shine like new. Clean them thoroughly with soap & water only (the lens). Then, apply the protective clear vinyl film (or slightly smoked - your taste/choice). Now the lens will stay clear until the film deteriorates - this will take years.
