Front end grumbling

I have a 2002 X5 3.0 with a 100k. It's now my second car and utility vehicle to move things.

Question: I've just had both front axles replaced but I still hear a distinct grumbling noise when I drive it. Are there any thought about this?

Any suggestions or thoughts would be appreciated.

do you feel vibration on the floor board?..
when your driving normal its fine right no vibrations..but when you need to pass a car and step on the gas a little bit does the car vibrate?......then once your driving normal along traffic the vibration stops?>

distinct grumbling? sounds like wheel bearings. If it starts when you get up to about 40 mph, and changes pitch as you go through turns, its a bearing. Ask me how I know (just had to do them at 69k)

It doesn't seems to happen with my foot on or off the pedal, although I may not have paid attention to it sharply enough. And it doesn't seem to happen during turns or at a particular speed. For instance, the first time I noticed it I was cruising down an LA street at probably 30 miles an hour. It just seems to happen but maybe I should pay better attention to the how and when.

You guys might be onto something with the bearings though.
