Choice For Aux Fan Replacement?
Hey Guys,
So it is confirmed that my aux fan is indeed dead and needs to be replaced. Options of course are pay high dollar for direct BMW replacement which I have no intention of doing. Buying a used original fan for 300-400 dollars which may last a lifetime or a day. Purchase OEM replacement fan online which is probably the direction I will take. There are a number of vendors on ebay selling OEM replacement aux fans. The lowest price I have seen is 149.00 and it goes up from there. I asked one vendor what the origin of his fans were and they wouldn't say. I assume that a lot of these cheaper ones come out of China and would like to avoid that if possible. Who has replaced their aux fans with OEM and if you went with a cheaper unit like under 350.00, what were the results? I was told that the cheap ones still work but have a habit of throwing the SES light. Just looking for some guidance from others about which ones worked and which ones didn't. Cheers Bernie |
