Driver side mirror doesn't dip in reverse

Hey guys. 2006 x5 4.4i here. Had the car for about a week and a half. The folding option folds in then pops right back out. Found a thread on that but it's not that big a deal to me. The thing I'm wanting fixed is the mirror dip in reverse. My passenger side works perfectly. However the drivers side just stay put. Be aware the mirror is fully functional in every single other aspect. It just doesn't dip when put into reverse. Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

you are in the US, right? with a LHD car? your driver mirror is not supposed to dip, just the passenger side is dipping when the mirror switch is to the left and reverse is applied... or, at least this is how my both E53s were/are...

Well then you have answered my question for me!! Thank you so much for the quick response!! Also one more question if you know the answer. The dealer from which I bought my car said the previous owner would be mailing in the navigation disc. Granted, I'm not holding my breath on that and even still it would be an 06 nav disc and a lot has changed. How can I get an updated version cheap? Is it possible to torrent a copy and burn to a disc? Thanks again guys!!

I have successfully purchased the latest DVD on Ebay. The seller said it was original BMW disc and the picture showed BMW packaging. The sellers rating was 100% with a huge numbers of ratings. DVD was as advertised and works fine.
