0v at the plate lights? What is the "upper boot bottom?"
Wire harness chaffing inside the "trunk," or conduit, that goes between the upper boot lid and the body of the vehicle (top right hand side of boot) is a common issue. You might want to pull the rubber conduit away and take a look at the condition of the wires in there.

The upper boot button has and L shaped piece of plastic under the rubber cover that cantilevers into the micro switch to open. If you have NO power back there then check the circuit farther up (can't remember which relay), if you have power then you could just need new bulbs and your L piece has overridden inside and you just have to put it back in place. (time consuming but that release is pricey to replace)

Thanks for that info, going to strip it back to the join between the car and the boot lid

Pulled the wiring right back, and found split cables but not the plate lights or upper bottom.
After voltmeter check i get 0.65v on lights and 0.23 on button? What's going on there? |
