2004 X5 Sunroof Issue back portions

I opened the sunroof the front portion opens the back part opens but I cannot closes the back portion it is stuck open when I hit the switch the front parts closes but the back stays open.

2004 x5 4.4

There hundreds of posts regarding sunroof issues on the e53's. Search "sunroof" and you will find a number of fixes and answers... The sunroofs get very problematic... You can disengage that 2nd panel in about 5 minutes and lock it down permanently.
