Mirror Microswitch - Wire A/B

There are 2 wires going to the microswitch.
My replacement came in.

Need to cut exisiting unit to splice onto the new one.
However, both wires on the microswitch is black...
Is it polarity sensative /

Do you still have the other switch you ordered? Did it come with the metal spring piece with it? My pass mirror metal piece is missing and I would like to fix this problem.

Not polarity spec. at at.
Just knip, snolde heatshrink - button things back up and we are back with working folding mirrors.

The OEM at 104K miles I suspect was fine. Just the nub was worn, which lead to the missing metal, which ultimately led to the whole schebang needing replacement.

Off to tackle the new error - airbag light is on.
Too add I don't have a GT1 to at least clue me in closer
