Was it just pads or both pads and rotors? Were the pads OE type pads?

both rotors and pads were new and OE. I bought them myself from ECS tuning |

New brakes need to be 'seated' and sometimes squeak before they seat. But after a month I can't believe that could possibly be the problem if it wasn't done. Is the squeaking all the time or just when you brake?

Could be a couple of things. By OE, do you mean genuine BMW pads, or aftermarket OE replacement pads? Metallic pads are notorious for making noises, even more so if not properly bed-in.

I would go for a drive and make several stops at increasing speeds. Start at 20mph and in increments of 10 work up to 60 and make 3 spots at 60. Increase how hard you brake as the speed increases. When you stop don't sit still long. Try that and see if squeak goes away. I suspect it won't be a fix but can't hurt.
