Can facelift E53 get angel eye led halo kit?

I'm under the impression that face lifted E53 can't have an LED angel eye kit installed, such as the 120 LED Wiesslicht kit. Is this true? Anyone care to explain why? I'm sure it is possible with modifications. I would love to install a kit such as the Wiesslicht instead of an eBay led bulb.

If the dimensions of the Wiesslichts are the same as the stock angel eyes I don't see why it isn't possible? Most led Halo kits are intended for pre face lift, well as far as I've researched.

It's the PF AE's are different than the o4+ housings. It can be done though. I did it.

A couple things though.... First, if you're going to spend the time to open the housings, do everything, not just angel eyes. And secondly, the smd angel eyes are old tech, if you want a daytime visible angel eye, such as I have you need the Xba's from TRS.

Take a read through this, it pretty much explains everything:

Facelift housings are for models of years 2004-2006. The ones In your album are pre-facelift.
