My new 03' X5 4.6is

Hi All,

Long time poster on Bimmerforums. I was directed here by another member.

I recently moved to Houston from FL and left the e36 M3 behind. Well technically it took a trip up north to the new owner, but its not all bad. I was able to pickup this super clean 1 owner 4.6is with 66k miles on the clock. What can I say, I fell in love with the thing. I was a bit worried though, because my wife likes it too... This will be the first car I've owned that both me and my wife love. Gonna hide the keys from her.

Couple of newb questions.
1. I have a XM antennae on the roof, but no where do I see how to access any sort of sat radio. Any thoughts?
2. Bluetooth, should I go with the Dice system from BSW?

Crappy cell phone pics, sorry...

Ricky Bobby will become famous soon enough
I came in to post that I am super jealous of your Estoril 4.6, if I found that car I'd trade my X in a heartbeat, I've been looking for a low mileage 4.6 in Estoril and a 2003 for a while now, they are hard to find. All the used 4.6's I find are higher in miles or silver, and besides epdarks immaculate silver 4.6, it just doesnt do it for me. And 2003 is a plus as I'm a big fan of later production vehicles.

Best of luck with it and yes please hide the keys from the wife! She will only be curbing your 87's and you don't want to drive the MURANO do you?

That looks like a great example, congratulations!

You will find the 4.6is does a lot of things very well.

Welcome to the forum.

Much appreciated! Had it for almost a week now and am loving it. Definitely a smoother ride than my e36 .

Nice find. Did you pull the build sheet to see if you have BT module already?

I have seriously been looking for years for a 4.6is. Found a couple 4.8's but people ask way too much for higher mileage examples... Saw this one pop up at the Mercedes dealer and jumped right on it! They didn't even have it on the lot when I got there as it was a fresh trade for a new SL.

They gave me new tires, brakes and some other regular stuff and I handed them a check .

Noooooo, the red bubble is hers haha. It's the official family beater now.
