you are posting about 4.4i and 4.8iS, so it seems that you are talking about E53. since you are comparing the 4.4i (production run from 1999 to 2006) to a 4.8iS (production run from 2004 to 2006), I would think that the 4.4i is facelifted version as well. You are in UK, so probably you are talking about a Right Hand Drive car... at this point it is hard to determine if we are comparing apples to apples - can you specify the month/year of each car, please... And if you are looking for a specific afvise and not a generic, broad gueass, please provide VERY detailed info about your ride, including the mileage - some components have certain life expectancy,, both in age and usage/mileage...
Also, on this diagram, which part are you asking about? if the part is not on this diagram, do you know the part number? if this is part #1, 33316770459, it is the same accross the E53 lineage...

Sorry should have said what they are,
mines a 2001 4.4 and the 4.8 is a 2004. Its not the sub frame that im looking at its this lot: ![]() I actually found where i think the damage has been done, i got the car up on the ramp at lunch today and spotted this: ![]() ![]() Its the front upper arm connecting to the top leading edge of the rear hub, I guess its been pulled back and out causing the steel ball joint and steel insert to leave an impression in the cast alloy hub carrier and I guess its twisted it too. |
