does any one knows either way if the 2004 4.4 or 4.8is have bluetooth

Does anyone knows either way if a 2004 4.4 or 4.8is have bluetooth standard?

IIRC 04 was the year that it became available, however depending on the month of the build there was a breakdown. I don't recall in what month the difference is, I think I found it in the bt section of the forums, you might want to look there. What I do know is back then it took a particular phone wired into the arm rest, however replacing the TCU with a newer one will allow you to pair almost anything.

Here's the information I've posted multiple times since joining this forum in October/2012. Bluetooth basically starts with the 1995 model year (which begins around Sept/Oct 2004).

Also take note of the highlighted text in the 2nd image where it indicates that the TCU installed in some late build 2004 models does NOT have BT functionality even though it's mentioned in the owners manual.
