OK- There are just TOO many opinions- 20" 168 weight

I have seen this FS thread where the guy *has* the wheels and presumably weighed them for shipping. But then there's a zillion little threads referencing the ETK and the weights THERE. Others send you to some wheel weight site. Not good enough.

Will *ANYONE* finally (ahem) 'weigh in' with their *actual* factual, real wheel life weights on these wheels? Pics? I am looking for the WHEELS- NOT wheels and tires. But if you have both, I am anxious to know.

Anyone with 1st hand experience?

I'll weight the set I have and let you know. I thought the German site for bimmer wheel style is pretty accurate. Thinking of letting the set go for $1850 shipped with pretty new DWS. Guess I under-priced them.

I'm curious...

Aaaand I am curious bc I am dealing with a bit of a fever for some wheels. I have a set of reps that I've used for many years. I found that they were much heavier than my OE wheels. Syoooo... Now I'm all curious if I *did* buy some wheels, I'd like to know the weight that I would need from them in order to not exceed the lighter OE wheels.

And the fever runs deep. Soooo deep.

That would be awesome- thanks.

On the pricing FWIW, I bought two used rear Diamaris last month. My buddy had them laying around and they were just under 1/2 gone. $100 ea. Since my rears were in pretty bad shape and I had 28 hours of driving directly ahead of me, I went for it.

Ricky Bobby will become famous soon enough
Well in my 3.0 I care about the weight but not as much, I'm just happy to have the 20" staggered look! Any loss of acceleration from the weight is made up for with the manual trans haha!

And Prop its good to see you, haven't seen you around much lately or your gorgeous LeMans, I will tell you what though, those 20" 132's will sell extremely fast! If they came without tires I would seriously consider taking them off your hands

Heck, now I'm interested in the outcome just to see the actual weight difference between OE and Rep!

Oh I know the reps probably weigh 15-20% more (if an OE wheel is 28 lbs I'd say the rep is 33 lbs)

I haven't weight them yet, but IIRC:
The front 20x9.5 is 12.46 kg = 27.47 lbs
The rear 20x10.5 is 14.33 kg = 31.59 lbs

Call me... tri-curious ...I wonder how accurate the weight listed in the ETK is to the actual wheel...versus the replicas?

  • 9.5" x 20" = 12.463 kg / 27.476 lbs
  • 10.5" x 20" = 14.331 kg / 31.594 lbs
