parking lights and dash lights not working

A few months ago I took my roof rack off, plugged the holes on the roof and put some silicone on around the edges of the plugs. Well we had a big rain storm today and I think I got some water in one of the holes. I go to turn my X on and my cluster, dashboard and parking lights won't turn on. I checked all my fuses and found one burnt fuse (43) but no other fuses where bad. replaced the fuse but I still have the same problem . I'm stumped on what else could be wrong! Any help with this issue is greatly appreciated.

do the other functions of the cluster work? do the 4-way hazard lights work? do the headlights work?

check for the leak in the front right hole... the LCM is located in the passenger side front footwell, on the side wall... that is what controls the lights inthe car, and you might have some water/moisture damage there. I am at work, no access to WDS - what does fuse 43 control? is it for the rain/light sensor? check your wipers to see if they work.

I suspect that you might have a corroded pin somewhere that lost contact and as a result, the LCM cut off some lights...

I checked the LCM and it does not look good. First It noticed a burnt smell and then pulling the connectors off you can see where water go in between the pins and the LCM. I will try to locate a new LCM unit today.

mirror illumination? check your mirror housings, see if there is moisture there...

how about the interior lights? do they work?

what about front fog lights? do they come on?

the lights in general do not have fused connections - all connections are reporting directly to LCM, and the lights are protected by transistors inside the LCM.

since a certain set of lights is not working, you have several possibilities:

something is shorted somewhere, not necesseraly light related, but as a result, the electricity finds a different path which cuts off the power to certain lights - a b!tch to find

you have a set of pins on the LCM connector that are displaced/corroded and those pins are all related to the lights that are affected - relatively easy to rule out, just get to the LCM pop the connectors, see if anything is out of ordinary

and something died inside the LCM - a b!tch by itself, as you will need to replace the LCM (might consider getting the latest applicable version) and have it programmed into the car with the mileage, otherwise the mileage tamper light will come on.

when you lock/unlock the car, do you get the visual from the turn signal lights? do they blink? do you get an audio chirp?

Keep in mind that the LCM (new or used) would need to be coded to your car. Otherwise, you will have the tamper dot on the cluster.

a dealer will not code a used LCM.

an Indy can code it for you but he has to have proper equipment to adjust the mileage inside the LCM and set your VIN - there is a specific procedure that needs to be followed, whoever does the coding for you, should know it...

Is your LCM fried for a fact? or, once dried up, it still works?

I'm pretty sure it's fried. It's been a full day since it happened and the light issue is still happening.
So basically I'll need a new LCM? And then have a indy shop code it for me?
