It doesn't take much power to operate the central locking system, in fact if you had one of those 9-volt battery charger things that you can insert into the cig lighter...that would have been enough juice to operate the central locking system.

Rdeyoung - Glad it worked, this has happened to me as well, however once inside the truck you do have a latch that can be pulled to open the hatch in the back and then access the battery, without having to work from the back seat of the car, it's all in the manual to open hatch manually.
