Opinion on new rebuilt kit for W/C alternator
Just wanted to see if anyone out there has attempted to install this rebuild kit on a water cooled alternator assembly? Just was curious how long this rebuild kit has been available and what the thoughts on it were.

Why go through all the trouble, I just replaced mine on my '02 4.6is two weeks ago, with a rebuilt Bosch core unit I bought on Ebay. After returning my core unit I was out of pocket only $152 and they paid for the return shipping, came with a 1 year warranty.

You are correct, I didn't read all the post on the listing for $219 with free shipping. It does state that they will refund you $65 when you return the core. Thanks for your help because i need to replace the leaking radiator which i think was the culprit of my Alternator going out to begin with. Iv'e only had my X for 6 months and haven't done all my research on her yet. Didn't even know it had a water cooled Alternator.

They're all the same, just rebuilt by a different re-builder/seller.
