I had a jeep wrangler before and it makes that climb feel like a speed bump.

However I'm surprised the x5 had no issues due to how heavy it is.

I have a 2002 4runner. If i can't sell for the right price. I may turn it into a go anywhere vehicle.
A buddy of mine has a 2002 maybe 2003 4Runner as well, 2inch suspension lift, 35s...4x4, electronic rear locker...it rips through things better than the X5, but I keep up with him.

Ya know? I have no idea...did it on speed bumps for a long time now...new thrush arms, new ball joints, new tie rods, new shock mounts, new shocks...new bushing...same front end noise...

I gave up on getting rid of the noise...3 years after the noise starts still handles fine. Honestly, between the off roading and triple digits on the interstate...the thing takes a beating and still holds up like a champ. It's unreal.

Don't try that with the stock summer tread tires. You need some with some bite.
